What happened to Roy? He left the tournament after first loss? Was it his "positive" approach, which made him impossible taking the reality of some loss, or something else happened? BTW very interesting thing in gomoku tournament was that two first placed lost in round #1, but they fought their way up to the top. Pity the best 3 placed players in renju didnt take part in gomoku tournament, I bet the gomoku tournament would be bigger challenge for them than to play some memorized renju variants (I am not ready to play renju yet, I dont like the game much still). Congrats to Arczi, very nice success! Btw, I don't recognize the name of the 3rd placed polish player, Rafal Jax. Does he play on kurnik, somebody knows the nicks? Seems to be a surprise.

From czech players congrats to Ondik, Auticko to excellent placement in gomoku. Kajman showed good results in renju against teammates again, I think he is too modest. In Czech open he made it too, I am still not sure what happened in last round of Czech open where Ondik was supposed to play Autickocz, where some results might get Kajman the first place.

From hungarians Elrarand proved the expectations, my black horse Hexlearner didnt make it to top three but I am sure he played well
Sure always luck plays a big role, but now we saw again some of predicted top players were able to make it. Of course some were left a bit behind due to some unlucky losses, its nice in swap gomoku there is more potential to surprise than in renju.

BTW about surprises, congrats to Amigozzz in both renju and gomoku.
